Proposed OPCA Bylaws (posted April 13, 2017)

We are proposing changes to the bylaws that will streamline the membership categories to bring them more in line with how we actually operate as an association.

We are proposing to changing the limited membership in the bylaws and replace it with the associate membership.

We will still have five membership categories: Active, Associate, Allied, Honorary and Lifetime. All categories, except Active, are non-voting memberships which is current policy.

Active members are defined as those members who are actively involved in providing pest control services. This definition does not change in the bylaws.

The associate member category is for “any person, firm, corporation or other organization who is ineligible for membership in any other membership category or any other person interested in the welfare of our profession and who is otherwise ineligible for other membership is eligible for Associate Membership. A person or firm shall become an Associate Member upon payment of one (1) year’s annual dues in advance and completion of an application form provided by the Corporation”

The OPCA bylaws will be presented for a vote to the members at the Fall Beach Seminar on September 16, 2017. Click here to view the bylaws:  OPCA bylaws changes proposed 6-3-17.pdf
